I'm sorry but the pizza is not good at all. It's like they purposely pour a layer of grease on top of the pizza before putting it in the box. The crust is hard and chewy at the same time...overall just bad.

Greasy, thin, tasteless sauce. My family enjoys getting it for parties but it makes my stomach churn. Needs more seasoning and less grease.

Mrs. T's must have had an off night. Just moved to Westmont, and my wife and I decided to be lazy and order out, saw the reviews and gave this place a try. 1st the guy who answered the phone sounded like he didnt even want to take the order. 2nd the guy said within the hour it would be delivered, well it took 35 mins which impressed me. 3rd, wife and I opened the pizza to find the crust was burnt on half the pizza and my bacon was a lil burnt as well. 4th, with half the pizza kinda burnt we couldnt get a really good taste of the pizza. Needless to say my wife and I will give this place another shot sometime, but until than we will be hitting up other placed to try.

The staff is always very friendly and goes the extra mile to please the customer. They seem to have a following of regulars at the bar as well. Mrs. T's is tied in 1st place for best pizzerias around in my book. Get the thin crust pizza. I usually get plain cheese or cheese and sausage but they have a cult following for their giardiniera pizza! I am not a big fan of giardiniera on anything so I will remain neutral on the topic. Mrs. T's has a 5 star pizza!

After reading Seriouseats.com review for Mrs. T's Memorable Mushroom Pizza, I had to try it since I recently moved to the area. So I placed an order for pickup the Friday after work...great way to start off the weekend. The interior was clean, bar had a good assortment of beers, and there was adequate seating. Staff was friendly. I will give them credit for the service and presentation. But now to the pizza...the pizza is kind of pricey for the amount you get. The crust is nice and thin and sort of cracker like in some areas. The sauce is tasty and the cheese is good, not too greasy. The downfall of the pie was the amount of mushrooms. I ordered a half sausage half mushroom and received maybe 1/3 sausage and 1/3 mushrooms. I mean it seemed as though the kitchen was running out of ingredients and they scraped the containers just to get enough on the pie. I mean maybe they were rationing to make it through the night? Overall, not a bad place but I think Seriouseats.com hyped it up a little too much.

As a thin-crust snob, raised on Vito and Nick's on the South Side, I am admittedly hard to impress and please when it comes to thin crust. This was AMAZING!!! And I loved the sauce - good sauce doesn't need to be overly seasoned. I planned on saving 1/2 for my husband when he got off work, but my daughter and I devoured our 12 inch. My only complain is that I didn't order enough!!!

Mrs. T's was the go to place for my old softball team after our Friday games. I'm definitely a fan. I've had the thin and Double Dough; both very good! Spinach and Bacon was the most memorable for me. It's cramped, but it's good. Definitely a Mom and Pop type of place... Highly recommend!

After further review of the food and service after repeated business, I've found this place solid. Nothing blows me away, but the food is always hot and made to order for my pies. I only do carry out now since my daughter is older and I may well have caught them on a off night for delivery though I will stay away from the seafood! Solid neighborhood pizzeria, good pizza, good fried mushrooms, carry out for best result.

This place has that 1980s/Dan Connor from Roseanne/mom & pop feeling. Maybe that's your style. Maybe it's not. I'm ok with it. For me the equation is simple: Mrs. T's = childhood memories + stepping back into the 1980s + great tasting thin crust pizza. Located in the 711 strip mall & across the street from Walgreens at Ogden/Main, this pizza pub is my old childhood stomping grounds. Besides having amazing pizza they also have the freshest/crispiest salad greens and tastiest breaded mushrooms. Small bar/limited tap but this place will make you feel at home. :) For the first time in years, April 2013 I ordered a sausage thin crust + small Caesar salad + order of breaded mushrooms + Bud Light. They were out of the Bud Light so I opted for Miller. Overall, my bill was in the ballpark of $30 and I had plenty of leftovers for days. Pizza was greasy but didn't ruin the taste. I usually dab grease off pizza, but this was so good I let my stomach soak it up. Growing up, we always did pick up. In fact, this was my first sorta dine-in experience and I sat at the bar waiting for my food. Fun, laid-back atmosphere. Small staff but they get the job done. Collect 20 red flyers & you get a free pizza. My family's been collecting them since 1988 and still don't have 20 yet, nonetheless if you want to stay close to home in the Downers Grove area, this place is perf.

This pizza is great. Have to admit it's a bit greasy but that's part of the perfection. We get the thin crust and love it. Good balance of crust, sauce and toppings.

A solid choice in the northern DG/Oakbrook Terrace area. We ordered a medium pan cheese, an individual (9") cheese, and a side garden salad for pickup. The pan was truly a pan style, not "deep dish"--it seems the definition of pan can vary from place to place. The sauce was flavorful, thin and underneath the cheese. the cheese was medium-thick and pretty tasty though I did have to hold it on with a finger toward the end. The crust was moderately doughy, had a decent flavor and it was about the right amount. I didn't try any of the thin crust -- it got devoured by the kiddo we bought it for -- but it looked tasty. It was cut pie-style, but I imagine that's because it's so small. The salad was nothing special, in fact that was the saddest tomato I've seen in awhile and I thought maybe some carrot shreds and another cucumber would be nice, but ... it was about $2 so what did I expect. It didn't blow me away, but it was tasty and filling, so we may well be back to try more.

I've been ordering frequently from here for years, long overdue for a review. My family actually request this for birthday dinners! The pizza is just done right, perfect crust, not too buttery like other places, and just the right amount if cheese, sauce and toppings for the crust. We do love our pizza, others places are good too Lou's and Giordano's for deep dish, but thin and regular crust are not as good as this place. We love the regular crust so much that I have never ordered the deep dish, so I can't review that. If you are looking for the a non-deep dish pizza, look no further, Mrs. T's is the best!

I really hate to say this, but the pizza was a major disappointment. I came here on a recommendation of a friend. The place is very cozy and has an almost vintage charm. When I came in, I felt like I was walking into a place that had been doing pizza for so long and so well, that redecorating or renovating the place was not needed. What pains me further about this review is that the staff was very courteous and attentive. I happened to be sitting near a couple regulars who were nice and eager to talk to me since I was sitting by myself. Their menu brags they have been "Voted Best Pizza in the Western Suburbs" for an 8th consecutive year. Frankly, I cannot see how this is possible. At the end of the day, this review has to based on the finished product, the pizza. Since I was by myself, I ordered the 9" thin crust. The pizza didn't take long for it to come out, but once it came out I was disappointed. The pizza almost appeared to be a garnish for the pool of grease sitting on the pizza. I enjoy greasy pizza, (i.e. Piece on North Avenue in Chicago), but the amount of grease just ruined the ingredients that make most people love pizza. The cheese was soaked and fell off the slice. The tomato sauce was tasteless and almost unnoticeable. The crust was slightly chard on the bottom but was as tasteless as cardboard. I really hope this was an off day, or may be their larger pizzas with different styles of crust are better. But the simple fact is, there are much better choices for pizza in the Western Suburbs.

Mrs. T's is hands down, THE BEST pizza place in the Downer's Grove/Oakbrook area! My b/f's family got me addicted. Get the thin crust! The regular crust is ok, but doesn't provide the best crust: pizza sauce: topping ratio. Adding fresh garlic will satisfy any garlic fiend. Even the reheated pizza taste amazing...yum....pizza...... There are other items to their menu that include salads, fried chicken, etc but I honestly never ordered anything besides a side salad, which was pretty standard. It is going to be a bit on the pricy side, but it is sooooo worth it! There is a little room to dine in, but their business seems to be more carry-out.

Went here after a softball game, it was awesome! Our group got a variety of pizzas, but the two best were thick crust, one just cheese, one sausage and bacon or heart attack in short! Not greasy at all on the think, and the crust was amazing! WILL BE BACK! The place is a bit cramped, but our whole group was in there. If there was anyone else in there, it might have been a huge problem. The cook and the server were great!

Mrs. T's thin crust is outstanding. Give it a try I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I would suggest eating there that way it will be nice and crispy.

Still looking for the best local pizza place for family pizza night in the DG, I ordered carryout, set the timer, and headed over. The pizza was done on time. The large regular crust cheese for the kids was eaten pretty quickly. They commented that the crust was a bit bland, but it was otherwise good. The stuffed pizza for the grownups was good though unremarkable. I tend to like a buttery crust, but this one was much more doughy -- it wasn't overcooked and tough/chewy like others I have had which was a good thing. The tossed salad was fresh and large enough to feed four as sides. I was there early and had a beer at the bar while waiting. The dining area was small and cute, but not restaurant-y enough to attract me to dine-in. I will put this down as occasional (not regular) for family pizza night. $38 fed five kids and two adults.

This place is pretty good. We ordered if we had coupons or wanted something easy to pick up from our old house. There is a bar inside and room to dine in. They also do parties. My brother had one here after graduating high school.

Am a a regular customer of Mrs. T's for at least 25 yrs. or as long as they have been open, which is a long time. The pizza's are consistently good, not too greasy with plenty of sausage. The best thin crust around. I love about 6 miles from there and often drive the distance just to pick up a pizza.

Really good thin crust, as good as Angelo's in downtown, which is saying a lot. Every ingredient wasn't lacking in flavor, (especially the dough and sausage) and I could easily see why their thin crust has been a hit with many people. I could see see some people having a problem with the small interior, especially if you're bringing a group, but I happen to like the small space as it makes the experience more personable. Why does Downers Grove have so many good pizza places? I'm so jealous!

Now that's the Thin-Crust pizza I'm talking about!! Nice thin and crispy (almost cracker-like) like crust that easily holds its own against the Q's and Vito & Nick's of the thin-crust pizza world.

Found restaurant while traveling on business via yelp reviews. Comfortable dining area with good Chicago syle pizza and cold beer. Few locals came in and out and the waiter/cook knew exactly what they wanted and was very friendly. Bathrooms were really nice and a big hit with the female coworkers I was traveling with!

I've lived in DG for almost 3 years now. I've noticed this place but for really no reason, I never went. I went there for the first time a few months ago, not much seating, better for takeout or delivery. Their thin crust is AWESOME! Highly recommended.

Some of the best thin crust pizza I have ever had. It is so good - we have it almost every Friday night. Tell those NYers - Chicago can do thin crust just as good as you! And we cut in in squares!!
